The last book in a trilogy named The Rosy Crucifixion, Nexus details the life of Miller and his wife at the time in 1959 as she begins an affair with another woman before leaving him to travel to Paris. His most famous work Tropic of Cancer was written during 1930 on an unaccompanied trip to Paris and was funded entirely by Anais Nin (a Sendb00ks favourite) who introduced him to the literary circles and paid his rent. She had a long affair with Miller and his wife June that she too writes extensively about in her work. He is remembered for breaking with existing literary forms to blend philosophical reflection with explicit language and sex, social criticism and a stream of consciousness style in his work. His writing was banned under obscenity laws in America until the sixties and he continues to attract a cult following with his provocative style.
