Originally published in 1972 by André Deutsch, these selected letters by E.E. Cummings span the length of his life across over 260 correspondents, from his grandmother, to his parents, to Ezra Pound and Eva Hesse. Despite his comment on the undeniably innovative Gertrude Stein, that she never much interested me anyway (267), Cummings's work influenced a postmodern experimentation with syntactic styles, grammar, and poetic form. His letters are much like his poems. Uncanny, humorous, blunt, and loving. We recommend you check out the online e.e. cummings free poetry archive here, and read the poem &:Seven Poems II.
